This picture posted on XCRcarbine.com impressed me. I like this setup a lot PDW upper with 14.5" barrel. I might have to get something like this once I get some spare cash and they become available in 2010 http://home.comcast.net/~firearmspics/XCRSF2a.jpg if you have to wait and spend that kind of cash, JUST WAIT ON AN ACR !!! Whatever?? I like both. |

I noticed the bulge in the pics and thought it was an illusion so I inspected the flash hider, The flat between the top tow ports is pushing upward. I guess that means it is directing gas upwards as it seemed like the barrel stayed pretty flat. I was suprised to see the bulge. I never would have figured that the guess would have had that affect.
I want to put a bipod on it and bag it to see if it is affecting group size when we get some better weather. |

I would be really careful as it will likely buckle or blow out the top rib at some point. |

I would go with a phantom or vortex on a mini with a 14.5" perma pinned and a 13" LOP stock. Assuming of course I had the cashola for something like that. |

Length wise, not so micro. Weight or lack of, very much so. I can one hand this one so much easier.
Found some 55 grain ammo it liked as it absolutely would not group close enough to call it a group with wolf 55 grain. Thankfully it does just fine with 62 grain wolf for some cheap practice ammo but I didn't have any on my last range day and was about to freak out with the inaccuracy until I tried some other 55 grain. I have no problem with wolf 55 grain in my other 2 XCR's but this one does not shoot it well (functions perfect though). I am guessing it is the difference in 1/7 twist versus 1/9. |
