43 yrs. ago my uncle gave me a Marlin 30-30, that he had while he was stationed in Germany 1953. I have had the rifle ever since, I was 12 then.
The rifle had a scope and mount on it ( I took it off when I was 20.) I still have the scope and mounts, less the three screws that held the mount to the left side of the rifle. The scope is marked DIALYTAN 4x and below that : dk 1. The rings are made to slide on to the base and then with the flip of a lever the scope is locked into place. Each ring is stamped on the underside .16 and the base is also stamped 16. What do I have? I am thinking of having the rings and base re blued and putting a scope on them and mounting back to rifle. The scope has some pitting, but other than that OK condition, cloudy on the inside. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
BravoCharlie
