| I am looking at a couple Harris Bipods but I am unsure of what height to go with. Any suggestions it'll be going on R700 in .308, using it as a hunting rifle right now. Any suggestions? |

For the most part, I like the 6-9s for both shooting from the bench and in the field, but...I have found the 6-9 to be a little too short in certain conditions in the field. If you're shooting downhill, it's usually fine. But if you find yourself shooting at an uphill grade at all, you may find in some situations that bipod will be worthless, even with the legs extended. I have a 9-13 I picked up partly for that reason, but have yet to use it.
ETA: Also, I don't know in what world they get those numbers (6-9 and 9-13). My 6-9 extends a hell of a lot farther than 3 inches. |
