Folks I need an opinion on my recent purchase. I just purchased a used Kel tec 2000 9mm carbine that uses Glock 17 mags (I think it was made in 2004 using the date on the box) for $219.00; which I thought was a smoking deal. I purchased a new Sub 2000 that also uses Glock 17 mags in 2008 but that was quickly claimed by my wife. Upon inspection of my recent purchase of my used sub 2000, I noticed that it was different than my wife's version in that it does not have milled in bullet feed ramp at the barrel chamber.

My used older sub 2000 chamber looks like this from a pic borrowed from Oleg Volk;

notice that there are no built in feed ramps in the chamber only a concentric round slightly beveled chamber.

In comparison this below picture (which matches my wife's newer sub 2000 and all current production sub 2000) from mouse guns has a milled feed ramp in the bullet chamber

Any one have an older sub 2000 like mine? Are there any reliability issues with not having a milled feed ramp to the barrel chamber?
Does your sub 2000 feed hollow points reliably?

Thanks!

I bought a 40 S&W version that says 06/09/04 on the box.  It has the milled feed ramp and fires whatever I feed it.

I have the 9mm version of the older picture above.  It's perfectly reliable, I have no idea why they changed the design
