I spotted a Winchester 64 in a pawn shop the other day; it's got worn finish and is not the deluxe version (no swivels or checkering). He had a price of $695 on the tag; how far out of line is this, considering that I've seen mid-1950s M94s in similar condition priced well over $400?

Or asked another way, what would be the premium for a Win. M64 compared to a Win. M94?
Thank you
Rob

695 is top dollar for a worn model 64.

64 series has a premium over the 94 series for guns made in the same era.

as a life long collector of winchesters i would reccomend a pass or tops 600$

dont let the fact they dont make the 94 any more sway you. Theres millions of them out there.

Thank you Mathew; I promise not to be swayed by the lack of new 94s, I have an older one (1930-ish), but the 64 intrigued me. $695 seemed high, and I just wondered if it was worth pursuing at all. The $695 is his asking price, and I haven't tried any dickering yet.
Thanks again
