Hey guys, I'm thinking of going down the "SBR" road and I'm hoping to get your input before dumping lots of money. I would love to go with a .45 cal SBR, but then theres the XCR with 5.56mm. Now I had plan on the XCR being the "SBR" but how well will the 5.56 be over the .45acp in say a 10in barrel @ 75 to 100m?
I was thinking of slowly putting together a UMP conversion, but I could go with the XCR with the 10in barrel but I just don't know how well the 5.56mm will be over the .45cal? thanks for the info |

The 5.56 is going to be able to fragment under 100yards from a 10.5 barrel. I'd take that over a .45 any day!
If I were you I'd probably look into a standard AR SBR or maybe a piston driven AR. My best advice is to think about what firearms would make you happy and buy them. I'm not familiar with the availability of the XCR short barrels but a folding stock SBR would be cool as hell. |
