I have a Safari Arms lower with a Colt Commander 80 upper. The hammer falls when pulled back with out riping the slide. The hammer however works when the slied is racked. This is a come and go problem any sugestions? Thanks

check the sear and disconnector for wear
do not use this gun until it is fixed!

Please clarify your symptoms. Are you holding back the trigger throughout this test ? If so, this is normal... the disconnector will only be activated by the slide moving back such as when a round is fired.
