That is about the time my Dad bought one. Man I loved that rifle. Ours had the wooden upper handguard. To me that is what looks "right", the ventilated ones look Tapcoed to my eye.

Sweet! I collected these when they first came out. I wanted everyone in my family to have one when the Russkies invaded. Then the 80's came and with it $450 HK-91's.

I wish I still had one. What you have is very classy, congratulations.

You do know there is NO parts support from Ruger for 180 series or older rifles.

nice rifle. I have always lover the look of the wood hand guard. It would be nice to see ruger offer a retro model with the all wood look.

I don't know, It's unfired. Probably like my other mini's @ about 1 1/2 - 2" at 100 yards.
