I'm very new AR-10's and will be purchasing or building one very soon. Is there any one AR-10 better than the other or is it a matter of preference? I've been looking at POF lowers and rifles, Armalite lowers and rifles, RRA lowers an rifles LMT.....,Noveske....DPMS.......etc.....

I want a really strong lower and accurate 24" A4 type upper for long range shooting. I'm so confused with all the great selections out there.

For the record......I love the Knight Armament sniper rifle. Are they worth the wopping $5,000 to $10,000 is debateable? I don't have that kind of cash to throw around.

I hope you guys who were in my shoes at one point can lend me some of your expertise in the matter. Thanks---PAT.

Check the AR-10 forum, however , there is only 1 AR-10, made by Armalite.
The rest are 308 caliber AR pattern rifles.

FWIW, I bought an Armalite AR-10 carbine, am happy with it. DPMS seems to make a good rifle as well.

CMMG has some nice lowers for 308 that give you mag flexibility and are compatible with DPMS uppers. Which also should be compatible with LWRC SABR uppers when released. That might be the way to go....
