holly crap Batman. Having owned a Galil before I'd say a big noway! While a nice .308, it's heavy, not that accurate (yes better then a off the rack AK), Mag's are hard to find and expensive. The scope mount never stayed on tight, never re-zeroed. It beats the hell outta the brass. Trigger wasn't bad, but still an AK style trigger & safety. It's just a .308 AK. I bought mine NIB when they first came out, for about 1/3 of that and that price hurt then. I shot mine had some fun with it and then when the prices started to rise on them sold it off for a M1A National Match. The M1A shot circles around the Galil. they are a nice rifles, built nice, but to me it's not worth that. For that price a real nice Dagon-off (lol yeah I know spelling... someone please feel free to correct my spelling  )Your the only one that can decide if that's a price you can live with. |
You placed a bid of at least 3200? on a rifle you weren't even sure what the value was or if you wanted it. To a collector, 3200 would be a fair price as no longer imported. Since this isn't coming from factory, it can't be listed as new, but can be listed in like new condition unfired, however, the auction does state 400 rounds throught the rifle so, yes it is used. Sounds like you won, so "is it worth it" is a mute point. |
