I had to sell my upper to make my truck payment,

and was wondering should I get another upper or should I buy a pistol?

It depends. What other weapons do you have?

If you have fallen on hard times, sell the lower too. You don't need anything fancy to defend yourself and your family. An inexpensive pump shotgun can do eveything you need.

I'm going to sell my Mosin 91/30 so I have enough for a Mossberg 500, I really love my ar but I cant really afford ammo for it, Pistol and shotgun ammo is cheap enough for me, I have saved enough to buy a pistol, I was just wanting to see what everyone else thinks.

Cant go wrong with a Mossberg 500!

Too bad ya got to sell the Mosin tho..... thats something I have always wanted!

I would try hard to keep the AR lower if ya can.... ya never know, that might turn out to be a decent investment in the future. Uppers come and go, but the serial number is forever!
