Friend want to sell Winchester 94 - does not know what it is worth.  20" non-angle eject, no crossbolt safety, 30-30, buckhorn sights - looks stock.  Very clean - on 40-50 rounds fired.  S/N 450xxxx - says he bought it in the 1970s.

Any idea on value?  Thanks

The lack of the cross bolt or tang safety makes it more valuable than a new one IMO. But you can still find lots of them used in gun shops for $200-$300.

Offer him $250.00

Round these parts probably closer to $350.

Such a gun used to be $175-$225 only a couple of years back but with the New Haven factory shutting down Winchester prices have gone crazy.
I am not sure if the present prices will hold up or if they are just panic and speculation.
In my area even the fairly modern guns like the one you are looking at are asking high $300's, some of the shops stick a $450 tag on any beat up mess that has the word WINCHESTER on it . I am not sure how many are selling in that range

Somewhere in the $350 range I think.
