I know US ordnance used to make one, and they still might.  They are the only game in town that I know of, as far as recent manufacturers.  I believe springfield armory made some semi m60s as well.  The going price on the last one I saw was $8000.

I had one from US Ordnance. Paid 6,000 for it and could not get it to work properly. I eventually sold. It only worked with high dollar ammo.

Im not sure of anyone currently making semi 60s.

But the ones Ive seen for sale are $10k-$12k.  Screw that, way cooler stuff for that price.

<< Note avatar. I've had my US Ordnance M60E4 semi for about 1.5 years and it runs great on everything I've fed it, EXCEPT I linked up some Wolf steel cased .308. It puked on that stuff. If you're looking for a neat alternative that's not as expensive but less bulky than a 1919 semi, there's some MG42 (Yugo M53) semis out there. I bought mine from Century ARms. It runs like a champ on any surplus 8mm Mauser I've fed it, but thats only been about 100 rounds so far. Here's a couple pics shooting it the other day. That's a Wise-Lite ARms semi auto Bren Mk1 in the background. WiseLite also has the MG42/M53 semis.

I'm hell bent on a 60 a 1919 dosn't really appeal to me. neither dose a semi mg42. I wouldn't mind the semi bar but I realy want the 60. or a semi m2 50 with a guarenteed place to shoot it.

The best for the buck plus the coolness factor is hands down the PKM.Less than 1/2 the price of a 60 and these dont jam...

I'd suggest a BRP XMG MG-34 conversion for the AR15/M16 .....

Use it on a cheap AR15 lower and maybe replace it with a RDIAS-driven lower or RR in the future .... convertable so select-fire unlike the above mentioned firearms .....

Great company ...... warranty ..... support ..........will be around for a long time ....

Classy looking gun ..........

$4,800 and converts to .308 ...........

This durable milled steel upper receiver alters the method of feed from magazine-only to belt-only and the caliber from .223 to .308 or 8mm. It requires no modification to your lower receiver. It simply clips on just like the standard AR-15 / M16 upper receiver. Each XMG comes complete with all parts except for the lower receiver. Original MG34 selective fire components and bolts cannot be introduced to the XMG configuration. The .308 XMG is fed from MG3 metal belts or USGI M60/M13 links .

This high performance system is well-designed for use with full-auto lower receivers. The system is especially gentle on your lower receiver for two reasons: 1) The buffer system is attached to the upper receiver rather than the lower receiver. 2) The bolt ramp is less than the original M-16 such that the hammer will not over depress and stress the mount holes in the lower receiver.

Its design is based on the MG-34 and it utilizes many parts from the MG-34.

All XMGs come with:
All parts necessary to mount on you AR
Manual
Bipod
Stock
Spare Firing Pin Hardware
Spare Buffer Discs
1 X 50 rd Belt
Limited Lifetime Warranty

Yep, the semi-auto BAR is fun to shoot and very reliable. It took me almost 3 years to get mine from Ohio Ordnance but it's a keeper!
