Bought a new Colt Commander, I also got with it is a wilson tune up kit for it which came with 4 springs 2 big srpings that where marked 22# and 18#  then to much smaller srings. Do I need to change the and if any what advatage if there for the gun.

IIRC, 18# is the stock spring rating, the 22# would be for higher than average power loads, and the lighter springs would be for functioning with lighter power loads. I could be wrong, my memory is a bit fuzzy this morning.

The stock Commander spring is 20 pounds, but 22 pounds is usually recommended for full power standard rounds.
