| has anyone put a scout scope set up on their k98? how do you like it? got pics? i have a $100 special non matching so its just a shooter i thinking about doing it to. |
| I have put a scout mount on one of my Turks that replaces the rear sight. They are great. Having found out that my eyes do not focus like they did before my 50th, I wanted to have something to help when I take it deer hunting. I now have one on a M38 Turk, one of the M44s and also a mount on the swiss K31. These mounts do not alter the lrifle. Just remove the fornt sight and follow the directions (use loctite). |

i don't like how high they sit....crappy cheek weld. I plan on using the XS scout mount and an after market stock. this mount requires removal of the rear sight...then is set screwed/ acra glassed in place. then add the XS ghost ring peep sight = one sweet scout rig. IMHO non matching/ non collectible mausers are meant to be chopped, bubba'd, re-worked. advntrjnky |
