The rifle is listed as being a 308, but it looks like it uses a 223 magazine..  Anybody know the validity?

Uses 30 round .308 Inch pattern mags. they ARE .308

Oh, and I would probably trade a leg for that.

Do you know if any company has plans to make an AR with those mags?

Is RRA still planning the 308 AR?  Have they already made it?  If so, it should take the FAL mags, no matter what size.

That could take this?  Will all 308 ARs take 30-round curved mags?

The Bushmaster discontinued 308 takes FAL mags, the RRA rifle is the same rifle, it takes FAL mags as well. They are the only 308 ARs that will take FAL mags.

Also, 30 round 7.62x51 mags are not all that. Function is spotty (those are converted BREN mags) and they are heavy as hell. Makes for a sexy picture though.

Have they ever actually delivered any of these rifles yet?? All i've ever read is that they are backordered, and that RRA is still refining the design.... I wanted to buy one about a year ago.. bought a PTR-91 instead, because it was available, in stock, mags are dirt cheap. It also shoots great, I don't regret buying it I just wondered if RRA ever got this .308/FAL mag rifle going yet

I just noticed something.  On the gun's website, it says it features a "20 round detachable magazine."  Yet they put a 30 round mag in the picture?

I think they are Bren-style mags modified for use in the FAL weapons platform... so standard mag would be 20, special funky mag shown in pic.
