I have a chance to buy a new UZI, claims to be unfired, looks it.
Model B.
It's in the plastic case with four mags, sight tool, manual etc.

It also has the short barrel included (long barrel installed).

What's the thing worth?

950-1100 dollars depending on the condition.

Go to Uzi Talk .com and they should be able to get you in the ball park.

I'd like to offer what little I know about UZI's and ask a few questions.

First of all, if it's a model B, it probably has a folding stock, or possibly a fixed stock, so the short barrel is making it an SBR.  It may just be the "Parade" or display short dummy barrel, so take a look.

Secondly, is it an IMI receiver, or a Vector built on one of a few different receivers?  If it's an original IMI, and an IMI plastic case, I'd say around $1200-$1300 or so.  The 32 round mags can now be had for $12-$15 each if you can find the surplus ones that have recently come out of Europe.

I'm no expert, but I do have two semi autos, a full size and a Micro full auto.

Thanks for all the replies. I haven't looked at the short barrel, it may be a dummy.
It's an IMI imported by Action Arms. New in box.

They want $1400..
Appreciate the help.

If you're not married to the idea of having an IMI receiver, you can still get very nice semi built by Vector on a Group Industries receiver for around $600-650.  I have one of those in semi and they seem every bit as nice as the IMI, however, the resale value is always going to be less than the IMI of course.  They are built using mostly the same parts, and will last forever.

The Norico brand is another story however.  The fit and finish is not as nice as the Group or IMI, and they used to sell very cheap, but I'd inspect one before making a buying decision.

$1400.00 seems high, $1200.00 is more like it just my $.02.
