I found one of these old Bushmaster rifles at a local gunstore for what I'm guessing is a good deal. I'd like to find out more info on them, but it seems they are rare enough that info is scarce. Does anyone know how much they should go for? This one has a folding galil style stock on it and a wooden forend that was painted black. It also has a really long gross looking flash hider. Kinda like those flash hiders they pin onto 11.5" barrels to make them the legal length. I have the feeling the barrel is 16" long and someone just added this to make it look "cool" For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about, It's an rifle similar to the AR-180 and almost seems to be a precursor to the Rob arms XCR. It's operated off of some form of gas piston. It uses what looks to be an AR-15 style trigger group and an AR-15 bolt and an AR-15 grip. It looks like it opens up in the same way as a standard AR-15. The lower looks to be made out of aluminum and the rest looks to be made out of stamped sheet metal. Most of it is put together using roll pins. |

I had one of the old BM assault rifles. Call B.M. and make sure you can still get repair parts for the upper. I sold mine years ago, I also had an extra para trooper lower with the folding stock for it. The steel upper assembly is the serial numbered part and B.M. may still have some para lowers with folders. They still had repair parts in early 2000. Mine came with A wood stock, I bought it used in the 80's.and really did'nt shoot it alot. The lower uses mostly AR15 lower parts. check the gas piston and gas system before you buy it |
