i was wondering the easist way to open up the barrel channel. i have to open it up a lot. it is a woden stock, so i think that it shouldnt be too hard

Brian, there are several ways. Depending on the tools you have. I t can be as simple as a sureform file to a milling machine whaday got?

Actually, I've got the same question. I recently converted a sporterized Enfield over to .45ACP. The barrel is definitely bigger around and now contains a barrel nut that needs stock relief around it.

i have.... a dremal, a drill press, and a cnc milling station.

i was thinking of seting it up in the cnc and just running back and forth a couple of times. only problem.... clean up, but thats the only one i can think of.
