| Hello, I am a newbie here. The guys over at 1911forum.com pointed me this way. I was thinking about building a Galil. Sarco has parts kits for $300. Anybody know a source for receivers? I have built a few AR's and an FN so I think it's in the scope of my abilities. Anybody walk this path before?-Mike |

Ohio Rapid Fire is supposed to carry them. You should also check out the Galil forum here as well. Ohio Rapid Fire www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=4&f=92 |
| Centuryarms is selling there Galil clone for around $800. Century is the one that brought in the new lot of Gaili AR kits in the US. The rumor is around 6,000 kits. I spoke with a Centuray rep today they said there in stock. After the shot show they will have a Semi MG-42's and a M-76 clone for sale :) |
| Ah, The AK forum. I was typing and not thinking. Thanks so much-Tons of stuff to read there. Can anybody out there recomend an alternate vendor for a parts kit. Sarco stuff it typically very used. Although their kit does include a new barrel. I will probably make the trip over to jersey this Saturday and if I like what I see I will buy one then. Anything I need to watch out for?-Mike |
You best not be kidding me..... |

... Always liked the aesthetics of the the Galil line ... 20 years ago it was a goal of mine to own one - never got there. Now-a-days I realize they're more of a novelty than a serious battlerifle ... If I were infinitely wealthy, I would certainly have one sharing space in the safe with the AR15s, M1As, FALs, AKs & AR10 |
