How are the SA80's holding up.
A lot was made about H&K rehabbing the rifles.
I haven't heard much about the results.
One would surmise that no news is good news for our friends across the pond.

They aren`t the SA80 anymore. They are now the L85A1 if they are pre H&K or L85A2 if they are H&K mods.

Much better system now, in fact those new fancy HK M16 magazines were made first for the SA80 system.

Supposed to be doing great, and very accurate too.

Really wouldn't mind seeing some in the US for civies, but I doubt that will happen. They tried a long time ago, but what with the problems back then it was dropped.

I would love to see some civvie versions. It won't happen but would be nice. My FS2000 needs some fellow bullpups like the SA80 and Tavor.

I remember running down hill on Exercise ( pre mag release fence) & losing the Mag when it knocked against my Web Gear, oh how i got bollocked!, piece of crap pre H&k very sloppy, it was bloody accurate though.

There is a thread on this subject over at Tanknet forums. From what I gather they do ok if kept scrupulsly clean and very heavily oiled and there are still some issues with the safety.
