Get both!!

I have a DSA STG58 and a PTR91.

I like each for their own charms.

My FAL is a tack driver at 100 yards.

IBTP

i've seen a lot of these.FAL always ends up the most voted

but the PTR users swear by em, and they are fine shooters (dont know about a FAL--havent got my hands on one yet...)

PTR. Mine is more reliable then my FAL.

I'd gt a FAL first and let me recommend a DSA STG58 variant.  A nice setup including rifle, mags, sling, case, ammo, shipping and transfer will set you back aroundr $1100.  Add an $80 SA rail mount and a nice used Aimpoint and you have a serious MBR for reasonable $$$.

Pick up a load of G3 mags now as they are dirt cheap - and then pick up the PTR later.  PTRs are pricing up as we speak to the $900-$1000 level.  Add a wide handguard and a bipod and you are up around the $1100-$1200 level.

Good luck - you really can't go wrong here.  Both great choices.
