Picked up a bunch of .308 surplus the other day, and can't quite figure out what it is.  There is the Nato circle/cross stamp, LC and I'm guessing a date stamp for 02 on the stuff.  Looks good, shot good, no misfires shooting it through my PTR-91.

Anyone have any guess as to what it might be? There's no colored sealers around the primer or neck, no coating, just looks like regular ball Nato.

hard to tell without pictures, but sounds like Lake City ammo made in '02

thats what I'm guessing, but I didn't know if there was any sealer or other markings to tell between "factory" LC and reloads. I've also read rumors of Chicom dirt rounds having an LC mark on the casing

Reloads on LC cases since newer miltary ammo can not be surplused to the public.
