If you haven't seen the video of the DEA agent lecturing a 4th grade class about how only professionals like him know how to handle firearms, immediately after which he accidentally shoots himself in the leg with a 40 caliber Glock, go to www.gunowners.org/op0516.htm With the leaking of the video, this idiot is suing the DEA for invasion of privacy(though he went on CNN to be interviewed about his case). With bozos like this behind badges, we all need worry. PS his name is Lee Paige. |

nothing but another fine example of affirmative action. |
Oh, I don't know. His character probably was 'deformed', like he did to his leg. Kids being kids, they will remember & glean more from this experience than he or his pro-fresh-anal cofarts would like them to. Nothing so eloquent as the cold truth. |

Negligent discharges happen and they happen to even those that have a lot of experience with firearms. The problem becomes that people become so comfortable around firearms that they become laxed in their safe handeling of the weapon. Besides he had a Glock and while a very fine pistol there are very few safety features to it. I'm not defending the guy, but rather pointing out that it is something for those of us that carry every day to keep in the back of our mind that things can happen. |
Few as compared to what? Glocks have three passive safeties, a firing pin safety, a trigger safety, and a drop safety. That's more than some pistols with manually operated safeties. |
True as that is, it is like Jeff Cooper pointed out one time, when the trigger gets moved to the rear, by whatever means, the gun fires. The trigger safety on the glock is more useless than a tit on a bull b/c when you pull a glock trigger, it does the same thing as anyother trigger. +1 to that thing about being too comfortable w/ firearms. That's ADs happen. |
(tip toeing) You're asking a question you know the answer to, right? You just want him to commit to it before you jump on him and beat him down...right? |
