Can you receive a transfer in a state that you DO NOT have a current driver's license in?

I have a project waiting, that may look like it is going to ship after I move to florida (currently in Ohio)

If it isn't ready until I get down to florida, I will not be able to transfer and accept the pistol UNTIL i get a valid FL drivers license, correct?

I believe you are correct, you will need a valid Florida ID or DL. Not a big deal, $20 and an eye-exam the last time I checked. Switching out DL's is easy here so long as you have a valid DL from your home state.

doesn't matter where you have a DL for. What matters is what state is your state of residence.

I have a WI license. I pay WI taxes. but as per ATF, I am a ND resident.

Now, most if not all FFL's require that you have some form of ID that shows the address of your residence. But it doesn't necessarily have to be a DL
