Ok I sold a WW2 browning hipower to a guy on gunbroker. His payment arrived today and I see that he is in California. The Hipower has the original 13rnd mag. Are all hicaps banned in California? Is so confusing I cant keep up. Thanks Ben |

If it is not a FTF transfer (brokered by a dealer), the gun must be on the California approved list. Check here! ETA: C&R handguns are exempt |

Do not send the mags with the gun. Take the floor plate off and send the floor plate, spring and follower in one box. Send the mag body in another box. (you're sending repair / replacement parts which IS legal Just let the buyer know before hand that is how you are shipping things. To be within the law, if the buyer is not an 01 FFL himself the gun would need to be shipped to an 01, not him. Who knows, maybe he has several HP mags that need repairing that he possessed before our ban on hi caps went into effect, and just didn't have a gun to go with them. |
