Go to www.perfectunion.com, and look around.  Thermolds have been seen lately...

Thanks Guys -anyone try the beta mag yet? Wondering if they work as good in the mini as they do in the AR15.

I plan on purchasing the converter kit since I already have a AR Beta Mag.  Will post report when I get around to it.  I figure for the price, it had better be better than Ruger factory.

I have one of those AR/Mini 14 combo mags that workes pretty well...  I have no idea who makes them, or where to get them.

ETA:  Just checked perfectunion.  Looks like it's a Ramline.

I would only trust Ruger factory or PMI mags in the Mini-14.

I would especially stay away from Ramline and USA.  They're not worth the space they will take up in your recycle bin when you get home from the range!

I've got some Ramline combo mags that work just fine in the Mini-14.  I also have one that spits rounds out the top just like they are reputed.

I think Ramlines Q/A was pretty spotty to say the least.

Ruger factory 20s & 30s, PMI 20s, 30s & 40s, Promag 20s & 30s and a 20rd mag I bought from Brownells marketed by CJ Weapons have all been 100% reliable in my Mini14. I tried a 90rd plastic drum several years ago and it was reliable until the gun got hot then had feeding problems.

I have been using the PMI 30 round mags for the longest time. Actually the same 2 mags for years.

The ProMag 30rd polymers ($11 at Natchez) have been 100% in my Minis.

yes,  USA mags being absolute unuseable crap, total garbage, worthless junk.  I've heard mixed reviews of the ramlines.  They just seem kinda cheap like if you squeeze them they would just snap.

I've got a smoked plastic mag that was introduced a couple years back by RamLine I think. Works great and has NO wobble in the receiver. I hate it when the mags shake and rattle.
