Yes they take AR mags. Yes the SAR was imported here. Don't know about current value. Since the death of the AWB and the availability of AR and AK pistols again the price should be low. During the ban I saw prices from 1K to 4K. I bought this one in 1990 for $600.

I had the rifle version, internally the same as an AR180, takes AR15 mags. Damn thing didn't like to charge the first round all the way into the chamber , IIRC didn't have a bolt hold open either. Once I got the first round chambered it ate every kind of ammo I threw at it. Brought mine for $550, sold it for $850. I would not own another and I don't recommend buying one. Just my $.02.
