how bad does that baby kick in a lever gun? compare maybe?

I had one for a while. Was pretty accurate. Mine was a marlin 1895 lever gun. Kicked about like a 12 guage with slugs.

It can almost duplicate the 45-70, however there are no light loads from the factories. If you are picking between it and the 45-70 the 45-70 is a much better choice for numerous reasons.

I'd liken it to maybe a little more than a .300 Win Mag
