Given the design and production numbers, it probably never will.  Remember, Bill Ruger thought we could not be trusted with a weapon that held more then 10 rounds.  For all his innovation, thats a sad legacy.

I have one of the Deerfield 44's. I love that rifle.

Always wished for a higher cap 44 mag carbine from Ruger...

At least the Deerfield is a drop magazine user even if the mag is a rotary one...

The new 10/22 aluminum and steel mags work fine...no reason one could not be made
for the Deerfield other than making money back on the tooling investment...

Sure would be nice to see some made though...heck though I'd like to have 20rd mags
I'd happily settle for 15 rds.

While Ruger is at it as long as they have their .40 PC carbine they could make it in 10mm
and let it take Glock 20 mags....:)
