[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Savage Tactic??

No, the title isn't a typo. I just picked up a Savage 10 "Tactic", and don't think I've ever seen one of these. At first, I thought the "al" had rubbed off the bolt, but that's not the case. Its a Model 10, pre-AccuTrigger, and has a 20" heavy barrel and synthetic stock. Trigger isn't the best, but I'm sure I can work on it. Barrel is nice and clean, and I plan on adding a Weaver Grand Slam 4.5-14x40AO scope as soon as my base/ring set comes in.

Anyone have any experience with these guns, and how do they compare to the 10FP Tactical models?

Same as a 10FP Tactical. Dunno what happened to the "al" but mine says "Tactic" on the bolt too.

Sub-MOA easy. I get the best accuracy with Federal Gold Medal 168gr Match and Black Hills 175gr Match.
