Hello...a friend at work just bought a Mini 14 and has some questions.

1. What magazines are good and what mags not to get.

2. What ammo works the best (55gr ar 62gr)

The original Ruger mags are the best. Followed by PMI and Masons.

Go to www.perfectunion.com andread up on the magazines.

I doubt it matters wht weight you use as its not what anyone considers accurate.

this should turn out to be interesting....

BTW I second the factory mags, and thats a huge +1 on the accuracy. Buy the cheapest ammo you can find, it wont make a difference

For mags use factory ruger or PMI and you should be fine.

the new redesigined minis are suposed to be much more accurate than the old ones

That might be a bit over-stated. Minis seem to do best with flat base bullets such as the AE 50gr JHPs.
