Does anyone know if there are any production semi auto shot guns that will shoot these shells? I would think if there was, those guns would hold at least 12-15 of these shells in the tube! Athough you wouldn't get the power delivery from each shell, that is alot of shells to hold. Thanks |

I know the shells that you are talking about. First of all do not under estimate the power of these shells. I have and will bet anyone that I can run 25 strait in skeet with these shells. The old guys at the club get the biggest kick out of watching me shoot them. They are to me a gag shell that I shoot when someone is complaining about a hard target on a sporting clay course. Now to your question... There is not a chance in hell these will work in an autoloader of any kind..They in an auto will not cycle and in an pump they will just tumble on the breach. Been there tried that. Been shooting sporting clays for 5 years and in Master class now. They work great out of my Beretta 687EELL Slug-O NSCA 536121 |

I recall seeing reports that Win 1300 pump guns would cycle them without mods. Other pumps would semi-reliably cycle them with mods. I recall seeing an article where a semi-auto was used, but it was used as a single-shot and did not eject reliably. I can't remember seeing one used any other way. -Hobbit |
| i remember aguila was going to import turkish made shotguns scaled down for these shells. they had both a pump gun and a semi. they never ended up being imported though. i believe one was called the posioden. +1 on hearing that the win 1300 was the only pump gun that will cycle them without mods. another neat idea that never went anywhere. |

They work in the winchester 1300 pump, and all double barrel shotguns. Don't work in any auto-loader, or the Rem 870. There is a mag fed autoloader that looks like an Uzi on steriods that was sold for a while. It was about 400 bux and was designed to only shoot the mini-shells. SOG had them for a while. |

go to this thread... ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=1&t=185776 |

I would think with an adapter those shells COULD work in a semi auto shot gun. The primary selling point wound be increased shell capacity. I would think if someone did develope an adapter, it would be maybe $50? Can you just imagine 14 shells loaded and ready to go?!? I read another article last night that mentioned the Benelli Nova(pump) cycles these pretty reliably. |

They feed well in most Winchester Defenders without modification, as stated above. Some Mossbergs handle them fine, e.g. my 590A1 does but none of my 500s do. YMMV. FWIW, there have been two different shotgun models marketed that were designed around these shells - the "UZI-ish" one referenced in the thread linked above and a more traditional "tactical" shotgun (all-black, synthetic stock, heat-shield, side-saddles, etc.) called the Poseidon (sp?). Neither seemed to catch on.
+1 on the autos, but the mini-shells will work reliably in an 870 that has been properly modified - the elevator musty be adjusted, and the shotgun then will not feed standard-length shells 100% reliably, so you wouldn't want to do this unless you were designating the shotty in question to exclusive mini-shell usage (my wife's pet 870 is thus modified and feeds/ejects the minis 100%).
My Nova Tactical does not feed/eject them reliably - again, YMMV. |
some pumps can be converted to cycle em just fine. There is a special shotgun made by one company (cant remember, would have to find the article) that was made specifically for these shells but the stupid designers put in like a 6 shot mag or such. ![]() They are considerably shorter than a regular shell so you could probably fit at least 16 in a mossy 590 but thats just a guess of course. |
