What do you guys think of this, it sounds like fun and a worthwhile investment.

That's a pretty sweet gun!  Is it one of Historic Arms, LLC's builds?  I think they built them in .308 too, ammo would be easier to come by.

Very expensive, I 've had the chance to shoot one and take it apart etc . Nifty but I wouldn't buy one if I had the $.
The semi conversion has some issues and only runs well with expensive commercial ammo with soft primers.

I own one.  I like it a lot.  It does have to be fed with good ammo and the internals could be a little snugger to increase realibility.  It is a work of art.  The Ohio Ordnance BAR is a nicer build, but the Bren is a far better gun for it's intended purpose.  Easy to use, easier to clean by far and easier to swap a bbl by about a thousand times.

Hard to justify the weight in SA-only.

Guns like this are not about being the cutting edge tech, lightest, etc.

actually just about everybody.....hard primers are the "specialty" item.... military ammo is hard primer and most civilian ammo is "soft" primer....however you can order "hard" primers from CCI and Federal, too, I believe.
