I know (think) Auto Ordnance is supposed to make these again. Has anyone here picked one up yet? If so is it any good? Thanks

They are making them. 50rd Drum is $279 from Impact Guns.  I would rather have a Beta-C mag.

I`ll agree that for the money a Beta C-Mag is the better of the two. But I do want a new Thompson drum.

I just recieved my drum and it has a great fit and finish.  I do not know how someone can have a Thompson and not have a drum for it and oh ya it is not $900.00.  I am going to turn my Thompson into a SBR after the paper work is finished.  To classic not to.

Think, is it worth an additional $250 and about 5 times the bulk to you to have 20 more rounds without reloading?

For $250 F/A or S/A HELL yeah. Assuming you have a range for it. For the price tag of $900 plus, I`d say only in F/A.

If you are using a 13 lb weapon that fires pistol rounds one would assume that the word "tactical" is not the first thing out of your mouth.  For a fun toy, sure why not?

You all are missing the point, no this is not nore will it ever be my tactical anything!!  I have a Thompson because it is one of the most classic of all Amaerican firearms.  To have this big boar firearm with a 50 round drum is just fun/cool.  Think of it as a classic American hotrod.  I already have my stick magazines and the gov at one point said that was to much and that I could not have one.  I will buy a 50 round drum or a Beta C-mag because I can.
