Is It possible to properly mount a scope to an old m44 7.62, and if so whats the best way to go about it??

Someone makes a scope mount for the m44. I think it is B-square. It replaces the rear sight so there isn't any real modification to the rifle. You have to use a pistol scope, since the scope sits so far forward. Some guys use it as a scout set up. Milhouse

You'll have to also modify your existing bolt if using a rifle scope with the mount mentioned above.
