I have had a G3 and now a CETME and for the life of me I can't figure out how to lighten the pull on their cocking handles. You need python biceps to pull the bolt back.

Is there a "simple" way to make this easier or is this just a problem with these guns?

Thanks

is the rifle ""new"",,, how many rounds thru it?
is the safty on...

the chargeing handles on these take alil bit of force to pull back, and to open sometime but not much. If you have the safty on safe the rifle will not charge,,rifle has to be on fire to work.(dont ask why im to lazy to explain lol)

besides  the safty deal,, a fe wthings could be happening ,,
the chargeing tube/handle/spring could be dirty full of century's special gunk.. the recoil rod could be bent or the bolt carrier could be hanging up on something(hence why i asked how new it is)
alot of these rifles need to have a break in period, alot of that period is you having to physically charge the rifle by hand ,,while yer bored reading forums,, the rest is done at the range,,,at least 2-500rnds,,, remeber to clean clean clean and clean again and lube the hell outt at he rifle while your in the break in period,,, and i mean lube it till when ya slap the chargeing handle down and fire you get oil on  you,,,your bench,,your glass's you get the point.....
now that stupid me read yer post better,,i see you just want to lighten the pull,, if the rifle works and all above checks out there is nothing wrong with the pull,, remeber you are pulling back against the recoil spring which isnt as light as a gas-op'd rifle,,and to think of it the G3 should be harder to pull back as the recoil spring on the g3 is heavier since the un-locking timeing on the  G3 is different..
if it isnt any of the above,, you may want to jump over to the cetmerifles.com page or for a lil faster response is gunboards cetme forum..

hope this helps,,,
