Where can I get some small ones locally? I tried Home Depot but they didn't have anything smaller than 1/8". I think I need 1/16" or somewhere around there.

Have you tried a True Value or Ace Hardware store. My local ones have a good selection of such things, although I really don't know if they carry them that small.
