Anyone know how they made the M-14k?
Its a M-14 with a shortened barrel and a M60 gas system..
LaFrance and Enterprise made some awhile ago..
I'm just wondering what needs to be modified and what new parts would be needed..
and a pic of the barrel and gas tube:

Thanks!

Your best bet would be to contact LaFrance.

Under Contact Us on LaFrance's page says "ONLY CORRESPONDENCE BY MEMBERS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES WILL BE CONSIDERED"
...
I't doesn't sound as he would be friendly and answer my question..

You might try contacting Denny Hansen from SWAT magazine.  They are the only one I remember ever running an article on it (I have it packed away somewhere).  It had to be at least 10 years ago.  It sounded like a sweet setup, but they did admit that it basically turned 7.62 NATO into 7.62x39 Russian due to the velocity loss.

Skammy -

You might at least try a call or email to LaFrance regardless of what it says on his page.  The worst that can happen is that you get no reply.  I have contacted LaFrance for some info on a transferable full-auto AK he converted.  I had to leave a message but he returned my call within a day or two with all the info and details I needed.
