My Remington 760 .30/06 has a problem I think. The bolt carrier and the breech bolt are held together by two pins. The pins on my rifle do not lock in, they fall out really eaisly. Is this normal? When I get the bolt into the rifle the dust cover and the reciever seem to hold the pins in place, but i'm still worried. Thanks for your help.

While I have zero experience with the type of rifle you're talking about, some guns do have "slip-fit" pins in them; the ruger 10/22 being one of them (the pins that hold the trigger mechanism to the receiver, and the bolt stop pin, to be specific). If you can't find it online, try going to a book store, and look for an exploded diagram of your rifle.
