If I register a lower receiver as a SBR, can I swap between the shorty upper and 20" upper intermittenly?
In other words is it: Once an SBR, Always an SBR???

if you reg it as a sbr with say a 9" barrel then you can use any barrel from 9" and up..you just cant use a barrel shorter then what you reg it as. just reg it as a 2" barrel or a less then 16" barrel and you will be fine

You can even "unregister" it and sell it as a standard rifle to avoid the seller having to pay the $200 transfer fee.
