Is there an outlet for these or do you just have to go to a bowling alley and try to but some old ones. Also is there a specific type that is needed?

A buddy of mine has a bunch, I'm pretty sure he got them from a Bowling Alley, or maybe a gunshow.

I've literally gotten hundreds of them from bowling alley's. Give the manager a call and ask him if he has some beat up ones to get rid of. I usually walked out with 2-3 dozen for FREE.

You can buy new ones for $8-$10 on E-Bay, but I doubt you want to shoot them.

Same here - Bowling Alleys. Once the plastic cover becomes damaged, they may not work with the pinsetters, so they give them away.

definitely the bowling alley. talk to the mgr. i buy em for $3/dz.
