I know the Marines employ the Mossberg 590. What other shotguns are used by the military? How do they stack up against each other?

I've seen Remington 870 breaching guns with the Ranger battalions. I've seen very old Winchester's in inventory. And the Marines are buying new Benelli M4/1014 gas-operated shotguns.

I've seen Winchester Model '97's, model 12's, and model 1200's, Remington 870's, mossberg and Ithaca pumps, also.
