I have never purchased an upper so I passed on your thread the first time I saw it, but I have looked into it so here goes. Figure the bolt and charging handle will cost $ 100-150 so you are paying $ 300-350. An J&T Upper without the bolt and charging handle costs 289 w/o and $ 389 w a bolt and charging handle, so it sounds like a good deal to me.

is this used? Do you mean A1 or A2? Does Bushmaster still sell A1 uppers?

Yes, they do. Specification is necessary prior to ordering directly form Bushy. I believe they're a few bucks
cheaper than the A2.

Just be aware that the "A1" upper is not really an actual A1 unit.  It's a dup of the Canadian current M16 piece, and has the brass deflector  wedge on it.  If that's Ok w/you fine, but if you're like me, trying to build a dup of an M16A1, it don't cut it.
