With the Pachmar grips and the gold trigger. Anyone own one? How's it shoot? Whattaya think? Just ordered one and I'm dying to try it out! Tony |

Your 1911 may not get much use... after you fall in love with that P-35, and 9mm is much cheaper to shoot. (before anyone flames... I own both 9mm & 45 and use both, I prefer the 9mm for random range blasting cause it is cheaper! - When the selector says "FULL" the cost goes up quick!) |

May I offer one bit of advice on the HP: don't expect a 1911-type trigger feel. It WILL have a bit of travel and/or creep. Pity actually, if it indeed did have a first class trigger then there'd be no need for any other 9mm to be made. >gg< I did have my mag safety removed, I wanted to be able to drop the hammer w/o the mag in it. The HP is clearly among the best guns ever made. |
Templar, check this out: Cylinder & Slide |

Browning got so much flak about dropping importation, that they have decided to keep bringing them in, but the prices sure went up. You will also see the Mk. III HiPowers (all black enamel finish) with no Browning markings.....they will have FNMI S.C. Fabrique Nationale Military Industries South Carolina FN is bringing some of the military pistols in via their company in S.C., the same one that builds the M16A2, the M249 Minimi, and the M240 (MAG58). There is also no mention of Portugal on these military Mk. III's. www.fnhusa.com/contents/products.htm www.fnhusa.com/contents/hg_hpseries.htm ![]() Thanks for the link Lumpy, I've played with some Hi Powers with those hammers, and they still usually bite me. One reason I carry a CZ-75B, similar ergonomics, but for big handed guys....

Three friends went to B&B Sales (N. Hollywood - now defunct) on a Saturday morning after being involved in a riot the nite before. We bought 3 consecutive serial number P35's with ambi safeties. Later - one of my friends hit on hard times and I bought his P35 with an agreement that he had first dibs on buy back should I ever decide to sell. - Time goes on and he is very successful, rather flush I'd say. Late 87 - early 88 - I began to liquidate my existing gun collection to fund my escape to the "Free Zone" (The Kalifornia Exodus). This time the tables were turned. I sold him both P35's. That is one of two guns I sold with regrets. ( The other being a Sig P220 when I needed airfare with zero notice.) Most of the Guns I sold are now banned in CA. (Pity) Now in the "Free Zone" I replaced those with REAL Assault Weapons with the $200 extra fun options. |
