Which Loctite do you guy's use to keep screw's tight on hard kicker's.
I am having trouble keeping the locknut's tight on my Ruger M77 300 WINMAG scope ring's.
I have some of the blue stuff (241 I think) and the red (272).
The red is for thing's you dont want to take apart very bad again and the blue is for less serious retention.

Thank's,   Lee

Use the blue Loctite.Thats what I use and I have never had a problem with screws/bolts coming loose.
DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT use the red Loctite if you ever want to undo those scope rings. HTH.

Thanks, I only use the red at work for stuff that really never has to come apart, I hope, but then those usually are not things with this small of a fastener.

I have heard a rumor that MEK, methyl-ethyl-keyone will loosen up red locktight but have never tried it.
Very flammable stuff, use caution.

Use the Blue, but first clean the threads with Isopropyl Alcohol

Start with the blue if it stays tight, great.  If not then try the red.  If you need to remove the red(271), just heat it up a little with a small pencil flame torch.

Has anyone ever tried the Loctite product known as Bolt n'Tite?

It doesn't matter which kind you use.

They all taste the same.

The red stuff is used when things keep coming loose with the blue stuff.

Use the green "shaft/sleeve" stuff when 242 and 271 don't do what you want. Heat is good for loosen 271.
When using 242,,,SHAKE WELL before use, if not, you might notice 2 colors of liquid come out.
Also make sure your contact points are clean, brake cleaner, carb, alcohol work well. There is even a primer available.
