I got a guy trying to sell me a Glock 30 for $700, no night sights, and only one mag, NIB. I know he's trying to rip me, but I'd like to know just how much it's worth to make a counter offer. So guys, how much is this worth??? |
I checked that place out, why is the 30 substantially more in cost then almost every other one there??? Aren't you in effect paying more for less gun?? (less meaning size, not package) |
Same here. Got the same kit for $575 late last year. I've seen several shops selling the guns NIB with only one mag. I'm guessing they take the second out and sell it for $20 more? I thought they came "NIB" with two mags. |

You're paying for its popularity. Simple supply and demand. Understandably, its a very desirable model for CCW. When Ohio gets CCW, that's what I'll carry. |

Some guys on glocktalk.com, including myself, use... www.dnrsports.com D&R Sports Center 620 Fairchild St. Nanticoke, Pa 18634 Phone: ( 570-)735-1752 Fax: ( 570-)735-8010 I was quoted $470 for a NIB G30 with standard sights back in March. I was given a quote on other large frame models and all were $470. Standard frames are likely to be even less. Find a friendly FFL in your area to do the transfer and you're good to go. |

Got mine NIB with fixed sights, two mags, loader for $499.00 about two and a half years ago from a local gun shop. It is my daily carry gun along with a G-21 13+2 Drop Free mag as a spare. As someone else said... you are paying for the popularity. With 10 round mags the norm these days (if you don't want to buy hi-caps) why not go with the largest caliber you can get and still get 10+1 capacity? So the G-30 is a very popular carry gun. But $700.00 is definitely a rip-off.... tell this guy to go piss up a rope. Counter-offer Figure $500 + 8.6% tax in WA takes you up to about $545.00. Minus $20.00 since you only get one mag instead of two... If it's a private sale with no "paper" then that might be worth a little more to you. I would not pay anymore than $550.00 myself. |
| I have always been lucky when buying Glocks. I look for slightly used ones when buying. I have never paid more than $450.00 for any of the models. I currently have a nice pre-ban 20 and nearly new 31. I gave $425.00 for each in the last 6 months. I sold my almost new 30 for $450 to buy the 20. I only had $400 in the 30. The 30 did not fit me well but shot as good as all the others I have owned. Look around and maybe you won't need to buy a brand new one. |
