I have two AR-15s, an SPI and an SPII. I've been wanting to convert one of them to a carbine. Both rifles are in good shape. Is there any reason I should convert one instead of the other? Is one of them worth more in its original state than the other? Thanks for your thoughts on this.

That's a pretty good question. Personaly I'd make the SP-1 the carbine, Colt made more SP-1's than SP-2's. So there is some basic reason to use one before the other. The one thing you did not say is which model SP-2 you have. I'm assuming it to be a R6500 or R6600.

Either way you go, your going with one of the best weapons to be manufactured. Good luck with your configuration.
