My 1st deer rifle (owned since mid-70's) is going for an overhaul.  At a minimum, I'll have the wood stock pillar bedded.  Would you guys go the extra step and get a composite stock? OK, which composite stock (leaning towards McMillan A1). This ain't a Bench Rest gun, but I want the PRACTICAL best there is.  All opinions (gun-related, that is) are welcome.

for a hunting rifle a comosite stock is the way to go. it would move the point of aim like wood and is much more weather resistant. if you have ever gone hunting in a real harsh environment you know what I mean.

plus for some reason I just like the way it looks
