1. What Creakote color best matches lowers/rails that are standard black anodized III?
2. Is the 4 oz. size enough to do one AR? (I ask this question because Duracoat suggests their 4 oz. product is enough to do more than one rifle). Thanks |

Armor black looks better than most anodized parts; most anodized parts don't really match anything. I found that armor black matched a FN A2 upper nearly perfectly. Unless it is a part that I don't want to devalue by removing the original finish I just cerakote the whole thing, upper and lower.
4 oz is more than enough to do a complete receiver set, rail, buffer tube and some small parts. But for the price, the 16 oz bottle is so much that you can screw the job up, blast it, re-spray it and have enough left to do several more rifles, pistols, or other projects that you can complete before the paint goes bad (about a year). |
